Congratulations to Patricia Mabeza and Amanda Parkinson, who have both successfully recredentialed with College. This demonstrates that they continue to work at an expert level in the field of mental health pharmacy.
Patricia Mabeza is Lead Pharmacist at the Millbrook Mental Health Unit, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. CMHP Assistant Registrar Jonathan Cavan said of her work: "Patricia's commitment to advancing the quality of mental health prescribing by leading on audit within her organisation was most impressive."
Patricia says: "One of the rewarding parts of my job is working with a team dedicated to improving patient care: superb colleagues who consistently go the extra mile to help. Being re-credentialed is something that means a lot to me particularly as it symbolises the value placed on my clinical role by my peers."
Amanda Parkinson, Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust, also submitted impressive evidence to demonstrate that she continues to be one of the leading mental health pharmacists in the country. Amanda has a specialised role in Lancashire. She says: "The part of my role I find most rewarding is my work as an NMP [non-medical prescriber] in the PTSD [post-traumatic stress disorder] service as it allows me to remain patient facing and has proven outcomes for patients. It also allow innovation and close working with other healthcare professionals."
Registrar Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing congratulated both members on their re-credentialing success saying:
"I'm delighted that their applications for re-credentialing with the College were approved – congratulations to them both!"

Clarification: Change on Council
Since Patricia and Amanda went through the recredentialing process, we have appointed a new Assistant Registrar, Roz Gittins. Jonathan Cavan handed over to Roz at the November Council Meeting.
