Delegates at the CMHP annual international psychiatric pharmacy conference have plenty to look forward to at the first face-to-face CMHP event since early 2020.
Once again the programme is designed to inspire, educate and enthuse. A number of eminent speakers have already confirmed their attendance to deliver keynote sessions, including:
- Dr Richard Keers, Clinical Lecturer in Pharmacy at the University of Manchester presenting the important topic: "Medication safety in mental health care: what do we know and how does this inform future priorities?"
- Nana Tomova, Lead Pharmacist Mental Health at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, who is a passionate story teller, and embraces the healing properties of the spoken word.
- Professor Sir Robin Murray, Professor of Psychiatric Research at the Institute of Psychiatry presenting on the genetic and environmental causes of schizophrenia.
- Professor David Nutt covering the topic of medical cannabis.
In addition to exploring clinical and strategic issues and sharing good practice, it will no doubt be the networking opportunities and social interactions that will make the conference a particularly memorable and special one.
The conference takes place from Friday 8th to Saturday 9th October at the MacDonald Manchester Hotel
