CMHP invites you to showcase your work at the annual CMHP conference which will be held from 11-13 October at the IMAGO Loughborough.
Abstracts are invited for both posters and oral presentations. The poster sessions are an excellent opportunity to present your innovations, initiatives and research in the field of mental health pharmacy – to share best practice and learn from each other. There is an impressive range of entries each year but the conference remains a supportive environment to present in for those considering presenting a poster for the first time.
The categories for poster submission are:
- Clinical audit
- Service development/evaluation
- Quality improvement
- Original research
- Other
Oral presentations are delivered as 15-minute talks by pharmacists and pharmacy technicians on research or practice-related projects, usually as part of the Saturday morning plenary session at conference.
Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and runner up in each category, and for the best and runner up oral presentation.
Prize winning abstracts will be published online in the prestigious Journal of Psychopharmacology (SAGE publications).
Last year we moved to an entirely electronic submissions process, using Oxford Abstracts, and are happy to use the same system again this year. Please make sure that you follow the guidance for the submission of carefully. The details can be found via the CMHP conference page, including a link to the Oxford Abstracts system.
In a change to previous years, we will be inviting selected abstract authors to present their work during a ‘poster walk’ at the conference, where it will be formally marked and be in with a chance of winning an award. Closing date for receipt of applications is 28 June 2019.
