Nominations are now being sought for members to serve on Council, and for nominations of Fellows and Honorary Fellows.
- Nominations for Council - We need your input to grow the CMHP into the voice of Mental Health pharmacy practitioners. To ensure the CMHP remains viable and forward looking we need new Council members. Please consider applying.The College Council consists of a maximum of fourteen elected and co-opted members of whom six are officers. The Officers of the College are elected by Council members (at the first Council meeting following the AGM) to the following positions: President; Vice President; Past President, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary and Registrar
The remaining elected members of the council should fairly represent the membership of the CMHP and include: at least one pharmacy technician; and where possible a representative from secondary or primary care; from an academic/research background and the independent sector and this year we have three vacancies.
- Nominations for Fellow - Nominations are invited for Fellows of the College. It is our intention to award up to two Fellowships each year and that these will be announced during the Annual Conference in the autumn. Nominations should be in confidence i.e. the member should not be informed. Nominees should:
- Have at least 10 year’s membership of the College or the predecessor membership organisations the United Kingdom Psychiatric Pharmacy Group or the College of Mental Health Pharmacists.
- Have made an outstanding contribution in at least one of the following areas in relation to mental health pharmacy:
- Clinical pharmacy
- Pharmacy management
- Education
- Research and development.
- Nominations for Honorary Fellow - Nominations are invited for Honorary Fellows of the College. It is our intention to award up to one Honorary Fellowship each year and that these will be announced during the Annual Conference in the autumn. Nominations should be in confidence i.e. the member should not be informed. Nominees should:
- Have a long history of supporting and/or working with mental health pharmacy.
- Have made an outstanding contribution in at least one of the following areas in relation to mental health pharmacy:
- Improved clinical services for patients
- Clinical research which has improved care of people using mental health services
- Education
- Research and development.
Please note that you must be a CMHP member to be eligible to nominate, and the deadline for nominations is 10 August.
