For several years, the CMHP has been working with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) to develop a joint advanced mental health credentialing curriculum and assessment programme for pharmacists in the UK. In the interim, our existing independent CMHP credentialing and foundation certificate pathways (open to both pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the UK or outside the UK) remain in place.
The joint credentialing between the RPS and CMHP will start 2 years from the launch of the RPS credentialing electronic e-portfolio which is estimated to go live March 2025, hence joint credentialing will start March 2027. Once joint credentialing goes live this will apply to Advanced Pharmacist credentialing in mental health for pharmacists in the UK only. For pharmacists outside the UK or pharmacy technicians (UK or the Rest of the World) you can still credential via the current independent CMHP route described on this website.
