Our members are pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, students and others with an interest in psychiatric pharmacy. Although we are a UK charity, we have an international membership, including members from Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Sweden, and the USA.
Categories of CMHP Membership
Associate Membership
Most of our members join as associate members of the College, subject to completion of our registration form, and payment of annual fees. Associate membership is available to anybody with a keen interest in any area of mental health and would like to benefit from College membership. You must be an associate member to apply for full, credentialed membership.
Student membership
Student membership is the equivalent of associate membership, but is available free of charge for full-time pharmacy undergraduates, trainee pharmacists, and pre registration pharmacy
technicians. When someone is no longer in an eligible category for student membership, they will need to pay the appropriate subscription fee (but not joining fee) to become an associate member, if they wish to remain a member of the College.
Full (Credentialed) Membership (MCMHP)
Application for full membership is available to associate members who are pharmacists or pharmacy technicians and have attained an expert level of working. To be eligible for full membership the associate member has to go through our credentialing process which includes submitting a portfolio of evidence and sitting a viva. Full members may use the post-nominals: MCMHP. Full members must recredential every five years. There is a one-off fee for credentialing and recredentialing, payable in addition to the standard annual membership fees.

Fellowship of the College (FCMHP)
This level of membership is awarded to leading mental health pharmacists or pharmacy technicians who have made a significant and persistent contribution to the field of pharmacy in mental health. Nominations for fellowship are requested from the membership annually and fellows are appointed by the College President annually at the International conference.
Honorary Fellowship of the College
Honorary fellowship (HfCMHP) is awarded by the College President to non-pharmacists who have made a significant impact on the practice of mental health pharmacy. Honorary members are not required to pay membership fees.
