Congratulations to our newest credentialed members: Kathy Morgan, Michelle Lad, Juliet Shepherd, Alexis Lepp!
We are delighted to announce that all four candidates of the recent cohort were successful in their applications to become credentialed members of the College. They demonstrated their expertise in mental health pharmacy through submission of portfolios of their work, and the rigorous viva process.
They are now full members of the College and may use the post-nominal MCMHP.
CMHP Registrar Ciara Ni Dhubhlaing says of the recent vivas:
"Overall it was an enlightening day! Several candidates randomly selected some of the same case vignettes for their viva. This gave the panel an opportunity to see how pharmacists approach tasks in different ways, but achieve the same positive outcomes - keeping the patient at the centre of their care and using evidence based recommendations alongside practical guidance."
- Kathy Morgan - Senior Mental Health Pharmacist, Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust.
Kathy remained calm and demonstrated her empathy and knowledge whilst also being aware of any gaps and where she would find information in practice.
- Michelle Lad - Lead Education and Training Pharmacist, Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Michelle showed a focus on patient choice and involvement and a commitment to ongoing learning and CPD.
- Juliet Shepherd - Medicines Optimisation Pharmacist, 2gether NHS Foundation Trust.
Juliet was able to easily view problems from the patient's perspective and was effusive in her clinical knowledge and awareness of service development needs.
- Alexis Lepp – Lead Pharmacist, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Alexis overcame her nerves to show her ability to analyse and consider alternative treatment options, focusing on what is best for the patient at all times.
CMHP President Nikki Holmes presented Kathy Morgan and Juliet Shepherd with their certificates at the CMHP Awards during the annual conference.
