September is World Alzheimer’s Month, and we have been sharing and retweeting some resources via our Twitter account.
There are many excellent websites with links to further material, and we encourage members and others to explore what is available.
While we would be unable to pull together a comprehensive list of recommended reading material, we did consult one of our members whose work has included prescribing in a memory clinic. She says of her experience that it is definitely a case of treat the person not the dementia.
She strongly recommends some of the patient stories which are available on the Social Care Institute for Excellence website here: https://www.scie.org.uk/socialcaretv/topic.asp?t=dementia
